The Facts About Staging
Sure, staging is not free… and in some cases, not exactly cheap. But when you crunch the numbers it is a no brainer.
Results for 2023
Every home we've staged this year has had an offer accepted within 30 days or less. This includes homes that had been on the market for 6 months before being staged that then sold within weeks!
Do not just take our word for it.
A quick internet search will show numerous studies reinforcing the uplift in value from staging.
National Association of Realtors (NAR) cited 89% of staged homes have an effect on buyers. Similarly, nearly 85% of realtors agree that a staged home will sell faster than an unstaged home.
Homes that are staged sell 73% faster than those that are not staged.
Here are some selling price facts. 23% of selling agents stage all homes. 44% of ALL agents saw a dollar increase because of staging:
39% of agents reported a 1-10% increase in the dollar value of your home (not bad considering only 23% stage every home). Based on that same study by NAR, 17% of 1,921 agents surveyed saw a 6-10% increase while 22% reported an increase of 1-5 percent, compared to similar un-staged homes.
A different study by RESA of 4,600 agents found that investing 1.3% in staging resulted an average of 7.1% over-list returns.
That means in only 9% of homes staged, there was no impact the buyers perception
Typically this would be with an investment buyer or someone who wishes to remodel the property and is after the location/view.
